The history of these almond and chocolate cookies start from the beginning of the last century in the Abruzzo region when farmers began to cook and eat them. During the most important periods of the year, it was common to dip these particular almond biscuits called "Li Biscutt' tajate a man" (the hand cut biscuits) inside "Hot wine." Nowadays they are famous with the name of "Cantuccini." This tradition comes to us from the old recipies of our grandmothers and we are glad to introduce to you an Italian tradition for all to enjoy. |
